How we became the Shire Sires

The Shire Sires pack live on just under an acer of property (our quaint shire) complete with a hill to run up and down on, wildlife to explore, fruit trees to inspect, chickens to protect and a garden to occasionally dig in (when nobody is looking).  While still living close to hustle of Portland, Oregon our small shire is tucked away as a small urban oasis perfect for our pack, human and furry, to thrive.

We are a small breeding program that was born from a pure love of doodles and the value of mental and physical health.  All of the studs in our pack come from a service training background or are entering in a training program for therapy support. The humans of the pack have backgrounds in education, special education, technology and business. The pack formed as we added companions during times of need like grief, health issues and quarantine. The furry members of the pack became the joy and love that we all needed.  

Providing healthy, well rounded and loving companions to families is the highest priority for us. We ensure that our studs receive the best care, have full health clearances and have a temperament appropriate for breeding. When approving breeders to work with we look for those same priorities to guarantee that puppies sired from our pack have the best chances to be the perfect companions.
